Description
Dutch cycling game from the 1960's, released by the small publisher "Es-Es-Es" from Voorburg. The game could be ordered by readers of the dutch television magazines Avrobode and Televizier (years 1960-1965), and was advertised in several newspapers between 1960 and 1966. However, the game wasn't sold in most of the regular toyshops. According to an advertisement in the local newspaper (1960) the game could be acquired at the bigger sport shops in greater towns.
The board measures 50x32cm.
What makes this game unique for it's time was that it was a racing game that didn't use any die but action cards for movement. There are several étappes (including an individual and group time trial etappe and a mountain etappe).
For the overall leader there is yellow jersey, for the leader of the point standings there was a green jersey. Both jerseys were flat plastic circular "counters"(0.3mm thickness), which could be put over the head.
There are at least 4 different box-versions of this game, coloured white (the Televizier version), black and red (both square and rectangular). The mapboard has 3 versions (one with the Televizier log, one with tables and one with no tables and logo).
