Every game round, you put your citizens to work, performing essential actions. Gather resources, convert raw materials into ever more valuable products, construct impressive buildings, train specialists, recruit new citizens, and trade to strengthen your position. Pay attention to the progress of your opponents as they are not idle. Everyone has ambitions. Players gather wealth to mobilize their Roman army, and negotiate shared sacrifices to the Vesuvius to balance the wealth. Only the first player to station their army at the Castrum, the Pompeian military camp outside the city, will become Protector of Pompeii and win the game!

Together with your opponents you must make enough sacrifices to keep the volcano in good spirits.
