Future Card Buddyfight is a Japanese collectible card game from the same creators as CardFight!! Vanguard and Weiß Schwarz. It was released in January 2014 alongside an anime series by the same name. A manga adaptation began circulation in November 2013.
In it, players take turns playing monsters and other cards in an attempt to reduce the opponents life points to 0. Monsters are played in one of three zones—center, right, left. If the center space is empty, that player is vulnerable to attack.
There are five card types: Flags, Items, Monsters, Impacts, and Spells. A player’s deck consists of 52 cards: 1 Buddy (a monster card), 1 Flag—both of which start the game in play—and a main deck of 50 cards which cannot contain more than four copies of any given card.
1 booster box contains 30 booster packs. Each pack contains 5 random cards. The rarities of cards are categorized into Common (C), Uncommon (UC), Rare (R), Double Rare (RR), Triple Rare (RRR), Buddy Rare (BR) and Special Parallel (SP).
