Description
In Escaping Extinction, you take on the role of super-smart Dinos trying to build a rocket and survive extinction! Work together as a team to travel the world, searching for rocket parts described by your friend Dr. Velo C. Raptor. With a tile-based game board, you’ll face a different layout every time you play – with special Earthquake cards changing it up mid-game! Can you make it to the safety of space before the Meteor touches down?
HOW TO PLAY
- Lay down the terrain tiles following the setup, set up each Dino's card and shuffle the different decks of cards. Remember the Meteor cards have a special way to shuffle!
- Flip over the first Rocket Docket card, where Dr Raptor reveals where the next Rocket Part can be found. Each time you bring a Part back to the Oasis, the next card is flipped.
- Taking turns, each Dino spends their 2 actions per round to move around the world, revealing tiles and collecting resources while searching for the Rocket Part.
- Once each Dino has taken a turn, draw a Meteor card. These can help or hinder your mission. This is also how the Meteor gets closer to Earth, so don't waste time!
- If an Earthquake gets drawn, it's time to shuffle the board around. These cards refresh the terrain tiles and change the world layout, so keep exploring
