The Space Base Race

The Space Base Race is set in the somewhat distant future where asteroid mining is a huge industry. The mega companies involved in the process are fiercely competitive. When a new mining location is discovered, each company sends out a fully robotic mining base. Before mining begins, the companies attack each others bases. When only one base is left standing, the victor gets exclusive rights to reap the benefits.

Players play as one of the companies and try to build their own base while eliminating the competition. The last player with a base still standing wins. The base game mechanism involves laying cards in a grid to form a "base". Each card or "Module" acts differently. The five base cards are the solar panel, the turret, the repair bot, the ray shield and the processor.
