Roll-It Tic-Tac-Toe
Description
From the Patch Products Press Release:
This game is played on nine Tic-Tac-Toe grids. Each of the 81 squares contains random numbers from 1 to 12, not including 2 or 7.
On each turn, players roll two dice, add up the numbers and mark a corresponding number with their color. If a 2 is rolled the the player loses the turn. If a 7 is rolled the player may place a marker on any spot on the board (this is the only way to mark a 1).
If a player marks his or her color on three numbers in a row—either vertically, diagonally or horizontally then they score! Most points wins.
Each player gets one point for each chip on the board, three points for each tic-tac-toe in a mini 3x3 grid, and five points for each grand tic-tac-toe (Three mini tic-tac-toes in a row—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally). The player with the most points is the winner.
The game was created by David Jisa, a Wisconsin teacher who uses games in his classroom to help motivate students. Roll-It Tic-Tac-Toe lets students practice their addition skills and develop problem-solving strategies.
Roll-It Tic-Tac-Toe comes in two versions—one with colored chips and 8 game boards and another with colored markers and game sheets. The game is for 2 to 6 players ages 7 and up.
