Description

RAF Bomber Command: Wellington is a Tactical-level, narrative-style Solitaire print and play wargame using a tables-based game engine simulating the British RAF Bomber Command nighttime bombing Campaign against Germany during 1942-1943.

As the pilot of a RAF Vickers Wellington bomber, your ultimate goal is to survive a 30-mission tour of duty. You and your crew will be assigned with taking part in nightly area bombing raids against various German cities during 1942 and 1943 in an attempt to break the will of the German people. But it won’t certainly be a cake walk, as Luftwaffe night fighters will be hunting your bomber streams, not to mention navigation challenges over open water and deadly FLAK you will encounter over the target cities.
The player will move his squadron through various travel boxes on a map of the English Channel during each mission on his way to the patrol area, then must successfully return back to home base.

Game components include a crewmen placement mat, strategic map mat, tables book, crewmen status sheet, campaign log sheet, and counter sheet representing individual RAF bombers, enemy aircraft, etc.

  • The game is available as Print and Play on Wargame Vault.
