Description
The game is a blend of boss fighting and dungeon crawling set in a dark fantasy world where a cult venerates the dual suns. According to this belief, the emergence of the second sun heralds a time of cleansing for the earth. When this second sun finally appears in the sky, mysterious monsters wreak havoc, worshipped by the faithless as prophets of a new world. Players assume the roles of 'Blades of the Suns,' the armed branch of the dual suns order, who view the beasts as heretical omens and believe that their eradication will lead to humanity's salvation. The player`s task is to find and eliminate these monsters, often protected by the faithless cult. The game can be played in three modes: single scenario (where players engage in direct combat with the beast and cultists), mini campaign (where we play several scenarios in row), and story campaign mode . The game relies on dice pool management. At the start of each turn, the player rolls a pool of 4 dice to arrange actions and 1 die to determine the opponents' actions. At the beginning of each turn, an action card is also drawn, on which the player places one of their dice, granting them a specific pool of points (movement, attack, defense, skills, power). Using skill points, the player can set their active special actions from a choice of 6. A crucial aspect of combat with monsters is targeting specific body parts and flanking opponents. The game ends when the monster is defeated in one of three ways: by depleting all its health points, executing enough attacks on its weak point, or meeting special conditions for given monster.
