From the box:

Six sided dice, known as tesserae, were thrown with the highest throw being known as the Jactus Venerus (the Venus Throw). The lowest throw was called the Jactus Canicula (the little dog). In JACTVS, players throw dice in an attempt to be the first to win an image of Venus, the goddess of love; an image of the little dog and a Roman coin.

Contents:
  • 4 replica Roman coins
  • 3 images of Venus
  • 9 images of a dog
  • 5 dice marked I, II, III, IV, V and VI
