You will be in competition with several other leading magnates of the 19th century that are all vying to build a controlling influence in the industrial cities of the American Northeast.

Your dice represent the rolling stock of your railroad that you roll and place each turn in various enterprises around the edge of the board. This is the business engine you must use efficiently to get resources and other benefits needed for your expansion. Obtaining more dice is essential and will generate further opportunities for growth.

With enough growth and the strategic placement of your locomotives, you can control several major city stations for additional advantages over your competition. Each station has a unique ability - so chose your path of expansion carefully; but beware, someone may try to take your place.
