
General Backgammon
Description

The game is played on a regular Backgammon board. Each player uses three six-sided dice and has a set of sixteen pieces composed of four Infantry, two each of Skirmishers, Horse Artillery, Field Artillery, Light Cavalry, and Heavy Cavalry, one General and one Lines of Communication. Units are rated for two capabilities – shoot and move. In addition, each type of unit has one or more Special Abilities.
There are five types of victory: Strategic - capture your opponent’s Lines of Communication Unit; Morale - kill or capture your opponent’s General and 4+ other Units; Attrition - destroy any 8+ enemy Units; Outflank - have 4+ of your units on your opponent’s back six points; and Positional - have 8+ of your units on your opponent’s front six points.
