Description

FortyTwo is a quiz game. It is played with cards which shown three questions on the front (marked in blue, yellow or red) and a number of points on the back. A card with difficult questions will be worth more points. The questions require that the player lists several items, e.g. Name six animals that can strech out their tongue, or name seven Germanic tribes, or name ten words that end in -heit.

On a players turn, he chooses how many points he will attempt to win (and thus the difficulty of the question). He will then roll a die, which determines whether he should answer the blue, yellow or red question on the card. The colour also determines how much time the player gets to answer the question: 60 seconds for a blue question, 45 seconds for a yellow question and 30 seconds for a red question.

A player doesn't need to answer the question alone, though. He can offer other players points for their assistance. If a correct answer is given within the time, the player and his helpers score points. The first player to reach 42 points wins the game.
