Description

Fortebraccio is a quick non-collectible card game allowing two players to recreate battles in the Condottieri era. Deck contains 8 leaders and enough troops, stratagems and combat cards to form two armies (56 cards total).

Each player chooses a leader for his army, between eight historical personalities such as Braccio da Montone, Erasmo da Narni (also known as "Gattamelata"), or Carmagnola.
Other cards represent regular units, and they are deployed face down on the table: foreseeing the opponent's plan is up to the players skill, so is trying to guess exactly where on the battlefield he may have assigned his best troops.

Cards on the front row can fight, confronting their attack and defence values against those of engaged enemies. Second and third row cards can act as reinforcements or replace defeated units. Stratagem and combat cards simulate the ardour of the soldiers and tricks of the leaders, enhancing the tactical aspect of the game.

This game was strongly encouraged by "Perugia 1416" Association.
