Description

Without a sound, or even a tremor, the fractured shards of many worlds have been haphazardly fused into new reality. The inhabitants are dazed and lost. The broken remains of each civilization now seek to rebuild. To even begin building a new home, each alien land must be tamed to suit the temperament and needs of your people.

Breath is a 2-4 express print-and-play area control game, inspired by Terra Mystica. And it fits in an Altoids tin!

The handful of cubes each player has are used both as workers who terraform the land as well as markers for settlements and bridges. When enough workers have been placed on a hex, the terrain can be changed to suit your people. Settlements placed on hexes that match your peoples needs can be joined together to build bigger settlements. When you run out of room to expand, build bridges to reach the land across the river, or send your workers on ships to colonize the far reaches the world-spanning river.

Although larger settlements give more points at the end of the game, having many smaller settlements next to your opponents will give extra income during the game. Consider carefully which path you choose - a single large world-spanning settlement, or many tiny village-sized settlements.
