Description

Barely Balanced is a quick game of daredevil antics and reckless stupidity in which you try to create an acrobatic show that would strike fear into the hearts of insurance adjusters everywhere.

Game play - Each round players start with a hand of 6 cards. The goal is to play tricks using the cards in their hand. Players my trade cards from the table or draw more cards from the deck. The player to play all their cards take the round, but all the tricks played by everyone are scored. Once a single player has taken 3 round the game ends. The player who has scored the most points over the course of the total rounds wins the game.

Game play was influenced by French Tarot and Japaneses Hanafuda and other classic card games.

The Barely Balanced card game is based on the Comedic/Acrobatic stunt show Barely Balanced.

Barely Balanced game was designed as promotional product for the group by designer Max Holliday. Max had been a fan of the acrobatic group for a few years, and while watching a show at the Bristol Ren Fair came up with the game. He proposed the game as soon as the show ended.
