Auto-Dungeon
Description
Auto-Dungeon Enter the corrupted land of Abros, a once bountiful and glorious world of sword and sorcery, where a gateway has been opened to otherworldly dimensions by an evil Sorcerer, Morden the Terrible. Formerly ruled by a just and righteous king, Morden overthrew the crown, and the realm was thrust into chaos and disarray. Many proud and powerful warriors attempted to end Morden's wraith, but all failed. You brave few adventurers are what is left to defeat his minions, seal the portal and restore Abros to its former glory. Do you have what it takes to end Morden's reign of terror?
Auto-Dungeon is a cooperative game made for 1-6 players, where the goal is to navigate the dungeon and defeat the boss monster. If at any point all heroes have 0 health, the game is over, and you have lost.
To play, the only just roll the dice and choose what happens. That's the core of the game. There are status effects to deal with, treasure cards which can be a boon or detriment to your party, and hero ability cards to aid your party at dire moments!
Players roll for the monsters and choose what they do to your hero. Will you choose to take damage, or become poisoned?
Then, roll for your hero and choose what skills they use against the monsters. Does your Cleric decide to fell the Skeleton, or heal a downed party member?.
When monsters are defeated, rewards are given out in the form of “treasure cards”. Mostly helpful in your quest, you could receive aids that strengthen your attacks, heal allies, poison monsters, and more. But beware, there are a small number of trap cards lurking in the chests!
Heroes also have 1 special ability card that can be used to turn the tide of battle.
In a moment of crisis, the Knight may decide to take all damage from a large attack on the Ranger, saving them from certain doom! Enraged with anger from a massive strike, the Warrior can launch a powerful counterattack to an enemy. Discover all of the Hero Abilities!
Players enjoy a small story to start off their quest involving “Morden the Terrible”, an evil Sorcerer who's corrupted the once majestic kingdom of Abros. Every dungeon offers three continuing “Story Cards” per level to guide you through the narrative.
As you continue to advance, each monster also has an interesting introduction to engage the imagination.
In between each round of monsters, players read the next story card, and get a moment of respite to either heal or gain more treasure.
