Aero
Description
Aero is an abstract strategy game designed by Gustavo Nascimento. Below, in Portuguese, an excerpt from the back cover of the game:
"AERO is the first release on Hydra Games, and it's already a classic: an abstract strategy game for two players, with complete information, good momentum and no element of chance.
The components are high quality and resistance with PVC rings and chips.
The game has huge replayability because the initial position of the initial transparent rings can change every round, providing very different matches."
THE GAME
In a 6x6 board, 2 players alternate turns putting rings and chips (inside the rings) in the spaces. The winner is the first player to use all of his chips or all of his rings.
Anytime a player gets to form a row (orthogonally or diagonally) with 4 rings or 4 chips, he is allowed to put a new chip on the board.
A player can put a chip over an opponent's chip, but be aware: the third chip played in a single stack is the last one, and it allows the player to change the color of the ring - blue player can take a red ring from the board and put a blue ring in the same space if he got to play a blue chip as a third one in that stack.
There are also 4 white neutral rings in the start of the game, used to give even more replayability.
